Our St. Louis sports chiropractor, Dr. Jennifer McCleary, provides a personalized approach when selecting your chiropractic services. If you are seeking relief from a sports injury, are experiencing back pain, neck discomfort or shoulder pain or want to improve your athletic performance, our health team at Triad Sports and Family Chiropractic has a variety of techniques to improve your health. We provide pain relief and then establish a chiropractic care program to support your recovery and strengthen your body. First, our chiropractor evaluates your condition to determine the severity of your injury and pain. Your evaluation may include the use of functional movement screening, FMS, and postural screenings to determine your range of motion. We also use neurological testing, musculoskeletal testing and infrared thermography scans to identify weaknesses, inflammation and spinal conditions contributing to your discomfort. Dr. McCleary collects a complete medical history from you for a complete look at your health and ways she can work to improve it. Once your initial evaluation is complete, our sports chiropractor will decide if other tests are necessary. These may include x-rays, MRI's and blood work.
At Triad Sports and Family Chiropractic we offer individual chiropractic care programs to fit your needs. Whether you are seeking injury recovery or preventative wellness services, our St. Louis chiropractor cares for you. Our services include:
Chiropractic Adjustments- the foundation of chiropractic care lies in gentle adjustments to the spine to place it in optimal alignment. When your spine is in healthy position, your body increases its ability to heal. You feel stronger, healthier and more balanced.
Acupuncture- acupuncture and chiropractic care are both considered alternative medical care. The two pair well together to free your body of tension that is contributing to weakness and pain. The basic theory behind TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncture is that it redistributes Qi or vital energy from areas of excess to areas of deficiency in order to balance the system.
Kinesiology Taping- this specific method of taping your muscles and joints is beneficial for athletes and those who are physically active. The kinesiology tape offers a flexible support so you are able to move freely and with less pain. The stretchy tape also increases blood flow to your injured areas to facilitate recovery time.
Nutritional Guidance- Dr. McCleary coaches you on ways to best fuel your body. From the correct combinations of foods for energy and vitamins to which foods to avoid, our chiropractor's goal is to position your body for peak performance.
Functional Rehabilitation- as you heal, we offer corrective exercises to strengthen weak muscles. Then, we continue to exercise your body to support all the joints to reduce your risk of a future injury. Our functional exercises improve your ability to perform daily activities such as carrying groceries and also enhance your sports play.
Soft Tissue Mobilization- after an injury, muscles constrict to protect the joint. This may result in overly tight muscles that need to be massaged and released. We provide trigger point release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, PNF, myofascial release, instrument assisted myofascial release and active release to improve your range of motion.
